Mat 3:2, Mat 4:17, Mark 1:15, told about God’s kingdom, and if someone ask what exactly was Jesus done on earth? The answer is He was announcing God’s kingdom. There are 247 verse in bible about Heaven, and every single of them tells about heaven as God’s dwelling place. Heaven is God’s place. I wan’t to tell you that our place is in this earth. Not anywhere, because God has inherited it to us. This is the story.
When we live, we live in the earth. After we dead, we believe that we as believers are going to heaven. This sentence is not completely wrong. Heb 11:16 says,
But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
We are really-really going to heaven, but we are not going to live in heaven for eternity. Why? At Rev 21:1-2, it explained,
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
We will live in a city, new Jerusalem, the city that God has prepared, and when there is new heaven and new earth, the city will come down from heaven, so it is very clear that we are living in earth. So, earth is our real home.
And if that so, we have a big mission. A mission of service. As a son of God, serving is a love expression to our God. When we serving, we will always become more and more grow to be more perfect. Perfect is a setting, God’s initial plan for us, human. When He created Adam, He created him perfectly, like God’s image. That’s why he is equipped to rule the earth. But when Adam fell, he is not perfect anymore, and so do we.
A perfect condition is a requisite to rule the earth. That’s why, from now on, we must really have God’s kingdom’s value and becoming more qualified. What should we do?
- Quality. Make ourself as a quality person. Quality tells about winning from a process. A process will make something beautiful, just make sure that thing is not broken when the process run.
- Serve. From now on, we must serve our environment. There are many thing we can do, and one of it is to preserve our lovely earth. Do it from now on.
