1 John 3:10 (CEV) said,
You can tell God’s children from the devil’s children, because those who belong to the devil refuse to do right or to love each other.
There are two conditions that define God’s children from devil’s children. First, if we do right. Second, if we love each other. In fact, love each other is a part of righteousness. But, indeed it still mentioned with doing right. It means that loving others is a very important thing.
Even 1 John 3:14 said,
Our love for each other proves that we have gone from death to life. But if you don’t love each other, you are still under the power of death.
Loving others is the proof of our spiritual life sign. That’s why, we who has been redeemed by Jesus, must have this love-others matter. Why is it so important? Jesus Himself has prophecied that in the end of the days, people will love them self. But, we who reborn as God’s son, we must have this nature. Because God is love, so do us as His son. We must have love in our life.
When we have love, we will have courage to be in God’s presence. 1 John 3:19,21 said,
When we love others, we know that we belong to the truth, and we feel at ease in the presence of God.Dear friends, if we feel at ease in the presence of God, we will have the courage to come near him.
If we love others, we will not be afraid to be at God’s presence. We will be able to build more intimate relationship with God. We also know from Luke 10:29-42 that our ‘others’ is anyone who needs our help. By helping them, we will be their ‘neighbor’ which means being their ‘others’.
Since loving is our nature kind, we must do it, right after we know this truth. This is truly what God’s want in our life. Jesus Himself repeatedly saying about loving each others. Even, the Greatest Law that Jesus told is to love each other, equal with to love God.
